Welcome Reception:

Mingle with and get to know your fellow delegates while enjoying and live music by a jazz quartet.
Admission to the welcome reception is included in the registration fee. All ICDAR2013 conference participants are invited to attend the Welcome Reception. Accompanying guests of participants will need to purchase extra reception tickets ($75 per person).
Conference Banquet: (Bus Tour of DC followed by Banquet)

The conference banquet will be held on the cruise boat Spirit of Washington. Buses will leave from the conference venue and pass by some of Washington’s famous landmarks on the way to a 3 hour cruise on the Potomac waterway that includes appetizers, dinner and drinks. You will enjoy spectacular views accompanied by historical commentary.

Special Events: During the conference, DC will host another highly publicized event. On August 28 citizens from across this country and around the will converge upon our nation’s capital to commemorate and celebrate the historic March On Washington which occurred 50 years ago on August 28, 1963.
